Omega’s  idea is to produce watches with exceptional in-house movement was fully conceived in the chronograph models. The Omega chronograph GMT Models are equipped with caliber 9605 and 9615 co-axial movements which has all the sophistication of their new generation high end watches. The exhibition casing of the rose gold model reveals the caliber 9615 co-axial movement powered by a rose gold rotor and balance bridge.  The steel on steel models and the steel in leather strap models incorporates the 9605 co-axial movements with the rotor and balance brigde in rhodium plated brass.  These movement are of the same class as the Breitling’s caliber  04 of movement.

The 9605 and 9615 movements are identical in every aspect and has the Si14 hair-spring in conjunction with the free-sprung balance wheel all functioning to transmit energy using lateral impulses with improved shock absorption

In terms of accuracy and optimum utility, the 9605 and 9615 are very similar to the Speedmaster dark side of the moon (caliber 9300).
