Cole Haan is a Native America company that produces footwear and accessories for both men and women. The company’s history dates back to 1928 when it was founded in Chicago, Illinois. Currently, the brand has headquarters in both New York and Greenland. We try, successfully, to review what has made the brand what it is today. Their innovative approach, craftsmanship, shoe design and features of some of the most popular pairs in online stores today.

Cole Haan Men’s Lunargrand Chukka Boot
These boots are quite stylish. It gets its name from the Nike Lunargrand technology used in crafting the boots. A pretty nice leather upper and a supportive sole with rubber insert at areas of maximum stress. The Lunargrand is a nice fit for a business casual outfit making you stand out from the regular wingtip shoes.

3 Stylish Cole Haan Wingtip Oxfords Shoes
Perforated wingtip design for breathability. These are classic fitting shoes crafted for comfort using the Zerogrand technology. Comfort, comfort, comfort is all you will ever hear about these shoes. If you don’t own a Cole Haan Grand O.S shoe, you are doing your foot a big disservice. For formal attires try out this perforated wingtip variant that features a smooth leather lining, closed lacing, rubber insole, and rubber outsole.
Cole Haan Men’s 2.Zerogrand Laser Perforated Wingtip Oxfords
I think the 2 in 2.Zerogrand indicates the grade of the technology used (newer). They come in a little narrower than is required, so you should take that into consideration. Cole Haan stepped up the game with the newer 2.0 Zerogrand technology, producing shoes that are lighter than shoes with the Zerogrand tech.

Perforated for extra breath-ability these no stitch oxford are very comfortable as well as durable. If it wasn’t so I would have said so. The leather, like a glove, molds itself around your foot taking the shape of your foot.

Cole Haan Brand History
The name Cole Haan was derived from the names of the establishing partners, Trafton Cole and Eddie Haan. In 1928 when it was first founded, the company was known as Cole, Rood & Haan and at that time it exclusively cratered for men’s footwear. The company has since branched out into other areas of business including footwear and accessories for women, sunglasses, belts, handbags and a whole lot of outerwear.
In 1975, the company was sold to a conglomerate headed by George Denney. They were responsible for the explosion of the brand in the States in the 70’s and 80’s. The retail version of the brand was launched in 1982 and by 1996 it had grown so much that it grossed $70 million in sales.

Cole Haan Shoe Models
Cole Haan currently has over 7 collections of shoes for men. Most notable modern collections include Grandrevolution, Zerogrand, 2.Zerogrand, Originalgrand, Grandpro, Pinch and Work Classics
Cole Haan’s ZeroGrand Shoes
The Cole Haan ZeroGrand is one of the newest models of Cole Haan collections to hit the market. Although, most of the footwear by Cole Haan tends to be slightly towards the dressier look, the introduction of the ZeroGrand shoes brought with it the versatility needed by the stylish shopper.
The name ZeroGrand come from the technology used in designing the sole of the shoes. They come in Oxfords, Chukka, boots, loafers, and moccasins.
The ZeroGrand shoes are super tight. They are actually tighter and fit in more properly than your average sneakers. This is brought about by the ZeroGrand sole with special holes in the upper region. The design of the sole has not only added the needed comfort required by most modern shoes but adds a unique style to the shoes. When you see a ZeroGrand shoe you will know it, you can’t miss it.
They come in different colorways and materials to suit your needs.
Dress Combinations with a ZeroGrand Shoe: The wingtip shoes form ZG can literally be worn with a variety of outfits. Think denim jeans, Khaki shorts, joggers and even three-piece suits.
How much does a ZeroGrand Shoe Cost?
Ideally, you can find them ranging from $120 – $250. The best bet for your money will be to get them at Amazon as they are cheaper to find there. Very Gent who loves modern fashion should at least have a pair of these shoes in the closet. They are extremely nice and well worth every penny.
Cole Haan Shoes Vs Johnston Murphy
Generally, I would place Johnston and Murphy shoes slightly above Cole Haan shoes in terms of material quality and durability. However, when it comes to comfort I would pick Cole Haan shoes over J & M, the reason is that of the revolutionary Grand O.S technology that seems to be getting a lot of positive reviews online.
Material Quality: J &M = 6/10, Cole Haan 5/10
Durability: J & M = 5/10, Cole Haan = 5/10
Comfort: J&M = 6.1/10, Cole Haan = 6.6/10
Design features: Cole Haan 6/10, J&M = 6/10
Cole Haan Shoes Vs Allen Edmonds
Like seriously, a review of Cole Haan Vs Allen Edmonds. Should I be doing this? Well, people still look for information on the two brands, so it’s good that I do it. For information on Allen Edmond shoes check here.
Material Quality: Allen Edmonds 8.4/10, Cole Haan 6/10. How Allen are able to craft leather shoes with little to no break in time yet durable, remains a topic for debate.
Durability: Allen Edmonds 8.9/10, Cole Haan 5/10. Look around in online stores, the customer reviews on Allen shoes says it all.
Comfort: Allen Edmonds 8/10, Cole Haan 7.5/10, the leather materials from Allen are out of this world. They are not as stiff as other higher brands like Magnanni shoes and yet manage to be extra soft and comfortable. Cole Haan still holding up strong as regards comfort.
Design features: A no brainier…. Allen Edmonds 9/10 , Cole Haan 6/10
